Dr. Vikas Khare is an Associate Dean, School of Technology, Management and Engineering, NMIMS, INDORE, INDIA. Vikas Khare completed his Postdoctoral research in 2023. Prior to that, he earned his PhD from the National Institute of Technology Bhopal in 2016, M. Tech (Honors) in Energy Management from the School of Energy and Environment and Research at DAVV Indore. He also holds an MBA in Information Technology and Management from NGASCE NMIMS Mumbai and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Government Engineering College Sagar. Dr. Khare done Advanced Certification in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He is a certified energy manager under the Bureau of Energy Efficiency India and a Fellow Member of the Scholars Academic and Scientific Society, India.
His research interests primarily revolve around renewable energy systems, data analysis, artificial intelligence, optimization techniques, game theory, and Big Data. Dr. Khare has authored 12 books, including 6 published by Elsevier in the USA, 1 by Walnut Publication, and 4 by Dhanpat Rai Publication. Notably, his book titled "Tidal Energy System: Design, Optimization, and Control" served as the basis for designing an M.Tech course in the energy department at IIT Jodhpur.
Additionally, Dr. Khare has contributed 15 book chapters and published 42 (24 SCI/ABDC) papers in Scopus-indexed international journals, along with presenting 10 papers in international conferences, garnering a Google citation count of over 2050. He has served as a keynote speaker in various Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and international and national conferences. Furthermore, Dr. Khare serves as a reviewer for esteemed journals such as the International Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy (Elsevier), Journal of Energy (Elsevier), and International Journal of Sustainable Energy (Taylor and Francis).
Recognized for his contributions, Dr. Khare has received several awards, including the Best Faculty award at STME, NMIMS Indore in 2022, the Best Faculty award at Medicaps University in 2016, and the Best Paper award at an Elsevier-affiliated international conference in 2024.
