Victor S. Abrukov is the Professor at Chuvash State University (since 1996), Head of Department of Applied Physics and Nanotechnology (since 1996). He is an expert of the Federal Register of Experts of the Ministry of Education and Science (since 2012). He is Honored Scientist of the Chuvash Republic (2013).
Prof. Abrukov's areas of research interest are in artificial intelligence and data science methods application for the basic and applied researches, including modeling of combustion and detonation of the high-energetic materials, nanotechnology and nanomaterials; shadow, interferometric, holographic and other techniques of visualization, etc. Prof. Abrukov got a M.S. degree (Physicist) from Chuvash State University and Leningrad State University (1974) and Candidate of Sciences degree (Ph.D.) from the Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Science, 1985, Doctor of Sciences degree (D.Sc) from the Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Science, 1995.
Prof. Abrukov had two research contracts with the Office of Naval Research (USA) in 1996 (as a member of research group) and 1999 (as Principal Investigator), research contract with the National University of Singapore (October 2007), research grants of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation in 1993-1994, 1998-1999, 2000-2001, 2002-2004, 2007-2009, 2008-2009, 2009-2011, 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2015, 2016), research grant of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and India Department of Science&Technology in 2017-2020; research grant of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and TUBITAK (Turkey) in 2020-2021, travel grant of NATO Advanced Study Institute (Canada, 2001; Italy, 2001, Turkey 2004 and 2009), travel grants of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (Italy in 2001; Belgium, 2002 and 2004; Japan, 2007; Belgium, 2008), travel grants of Organizing Committees of International Conferences (Sweden in 1996, USA in 2000, Belgium in 2002, Italy in 2002, Norway in 2003, Italy in 2003, Chile in 2005, Japan in 2007, Israel in 2012 and 2015, USA in 2013, Turkey in 2016 and 2019, India in 2017), travel grants of U.S. CRDF in 2004 - for attendance on 49th SPIE Meeting in USA, Denver, CO, August 2-6, 2004).
Professor Abrukov develop the concept of "High-Energy Materials Genome". In 2023-2024, he gave lectures related to the problem of creating the Materials Genome in China (Institute of Modern Chemistry - 2023, Northwestern University - 2024), Italy 2024), Germany (Ludwig Maximilian University - 2024).
